MY DAD JOINED THE ARMY AT A YOUNG AGE AFTER HIS TIME IN THE ARMY HE MET MY MOM SHEILA WHICH HE WENT ON TO GET MARRIED
HE WORKED HARD MOST OF HE LIFE TILL HE COULD.HE WAS A DEDICATED PIGEON FLYER AND FISHERMAN.AFTER BRINGING UP SIX CHILDREN HE THEN WENT ON TO BRING UP TWO GRANDCHILDREN MARTIN AND KIMBERLEY(TUBS AS HE CALLED HER)BOTH WHO HE ADDORD.
MY DAD WAS A GENIUS WITH A HAMMER,NAILS AND A PIECE OF WOOD WHICH HE WOULD MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING.FRIENDS AND FAMILY WOULD CALL HIM JOEY FIX IT!!
MY DAD WOULD HIS BEST TO HELP ANYONE IF HE COULD,HE WAS A VERY STERN MAN BUT FAIR AND WHEN HE WAS RIGHT HE WAS RIGHT!
ON THE 9TH OF MARCH 2004 HE DECIDED TO GO TO B&Q TO BUY SOME WOOD FOR HIS PIGEON PEN,EVERYTHING WAS FINE!CAME HOME SETTLED DOWN,HE SAID TO MOM I FANCY A CHEESE AND ONION COB WHICH HE HAD OFTEN.MOM PREPARED ONE FOR HIM WHICH HE SAT AND ATE AND SAID "THAT WAS THE BEST CHEESE AND ONION COB IVE EVER HAD".HALF HOUR LATER HE SAID TO MOM HE HAD AN HEAD ACHE.MOM SAID TO HIM "GO LIE DOWN AND ILL BRING YOU SOME TABLETS UP" WHICH SHE DID,BUT WHEN SHE WALKED INTO THE ROOM DAD SAT UP AND LOOKED AT MOM AND THEN HE WAS GONE TOOK TO HEAVEN WITH THE ANGELS.MY MOM AND DAD HAD BEEN MARRIED FOR 45 YRS AND MOM NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO SAY GOODBYE.
THE SAYING IS "WHEN YOUR TIME IS UP,ITS UP" BUT MY DAD WAS TOOK TO SOON.
WILL BE MISSED BUT NEVER FORGOTTON
